A team of professionals dedicated to driving down costs whilst ensuring Serif quality throughout. The focus is to ensure optimum supplier relationships to enable Serif to meet its promises whilst at the same time protecting Serif from external economic influences. A typical day could involve anything from negotiating six figure print contracts to ensuring there are sufficient fruit supplies for Serif’s health conscious employees.
The Purchasing department is the first port of call for many aspects of the day-to-day running of Serif’s headquarters in Nottingham.
When I started working at Serif in 1992, there were only a handful of employees and we all did a bit of everything – answering the phone, placing orders, dispatching the goods and invoicing the customers. I’ve watched the company grow over the years and it’s been a fascinating experience.
I think the reason I’ve stayed here for so long is the people and my job role is so varied there’s always something new to learn. I have made some great friends at Serif over the years and enjoyed making new ones as the business grew from strength to strength. I think it’s a great testament to the company that so many people have worked here for
many years; I’ve been here for nearly 16 and I can honestly say it’s flown by.
