Serif software is not just sold individually to home users; we also have a large user base of schools and businesses using Serif multi-user licences via our Corporate & Educational Sales department. Our dedicated team make sure schools across the country have the best graphics software, to produce high quality coursework and equip pupils with design skills needed for the competitive workplace.
Although mostly based here in our Nottingham offices, the team are often out meeting customers through training days, conferences and exhibitions, including the BETT show at the London Olympia (below), which is the largest education technology show in the world.

The team have also recently teamed up with Marketing with a trip to Texas to promote our great products to schools in America.
In addition to exciting staff incentives, our dedicated Account Managers are rewarded for their hard work with a quarterly night out for dinner, drinks and sometimes bowling or karting.

After training as an Illustrator at Uni, I needed a temporary job while I looked for design work, so I joined Serif through an agency as an Outbound Sales Agent back in April 2001.
I then moved to the Educational Sales team as an Account Manager, then Sales Supervisor, until two years ago I became the Sales and Marketing Manager for the department, managing a team of five and overseeing licence sales to all UK schools. As part of my role I also work with the Creative Design team to produce our own marketing material.
I feel really privileged to work at Serif – it’s great to have been given
the opportunity to use my skills and previous training to contribute to an already thriving business.
The expanding Business Development team have the exciting task of increasing Serif’s international presence through direct and non-direct sales in Europe , The Middle East, Africa , Australia and New Zealand . This can include anything from retail sales, resellers and channel distribution. The department regularly meets with existing and prospective partners, such as Dixons Store Group and Amazon, and are often required to take business trips all over the world.
Like all sales departments, business development has a quarterly night out. The latest one took the team for a meal at Le Bistrot Pierre in the City Centre for a three course meal with champagne.

My first job at Serif, as an Inbound Sales Agent, was back in March 2000. I went on from this to become a Marketing Assistant, Marketing Supervisor and Marketing Manager.
Three years ago, I became Head of the Business Development team. I now manage a team of 4 and we are tasked with expanding the business into new territories and channels throughout the world. At present this includes Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand. I enjoy working at Serif because my job offers variety, the opportunity to travel and
meet new people. It’s really exciting to be a part of such a growing & developing company!
Serif’s call centre is its busiest and most lively department. Whether you are part of the inbound or outbound team, your customer-focused sales role will be challenging yet rewarding.
The vivacious sales teams work hard to forge positive relationships with our customers when promoting and selling our award-winning software, delivering exceptional customer care by understanding the individual needs and interests of our customers.

In 2001 I joined Serif as an Outbound Sales Agent and stayed in this role for about three and a half years. I really enjoyed working in such a vibrant, fun department, and the potential to earn a good living was a great motivator. After this role, I moved on to become Sales Trainer, which was a great opportunity to share my experience and knowledge with others.
I am now the Outbound Sales Manager, and it is a challenging role, but one that gives me the
chance to generate a lot of income for Serif and show what I am capable of.
