I learned web design at 14 with serif, stopped at 16, got a job as a web designer at 19, The whole company now use serif instead of the market alternatives. I can design a professional site completely different to any other in less time than it takes most computers to load up dreamweaver, and that isn't skill thats just the nature of wysiwyg editors. Also, In all of the time I have used serif, I have never found a bug

Amazing, so easy to use and very good and makes it look like a proper website.

I have tried many programs to design my own websites, but NONE have even come close to WebPlus. If you know how to use any Windows based program, WebPlus is a piece of cake. And you can make stunning websites! Try it, you won't be sorry! And I don't reccomend just any program, but I do recommend you buy WebPlus.

Overall I like the WebPlus X5 (purchased online) and the starter. Tried the starter for a few days as I was looking for a suitable application to build my web site (now active) www.alberta-photo.com. I spent a week learning and working with Muse by Adobe. It was so primitive, that it is not even funny. Tried MS Publisher and it's only good for railway schedule publishing online. Also very protective of MS interests and lacking animation. Trying to integrate it with MS Powerpoint was a pain.
WebPlus starter gave me the desired slide show option in the picture galleries. I chose the one that looks like a deck of playing cards (second from the end in the type box). Now a question to the developers : why this option is not available in the full edition of WebPlus ??? Really an overlook , guys.
The second thing that is not there is a visual indication of the size of boxes and pictures measured in pixels as you draw/create an object. Should be something like a tiny pop-up by the mouse when you drag it across the screen. Will be really helpful. I liked this feature in Muse.
Now I feel very comfortable with the layout and possibilities of your software. Publishing and site checking is very easy. Good navigation and you , guys, have a really good help file, which is awfully important. My site is not very advanced, so I haven't tried everything yet, but for the $100 I paid I am quite happy.

I found the Web Plus Starter Edition a waste of time. None of the templates are included and it won't open my existing HTML files. If you're starting from scratch it might be OK but I wanted to use it to update an existing site without starting completely over.

I surf the net looking what I can get for free and sometimes a gem comes up, WebPlus Starter edition being one. I don't understand much when using a computer, so anything I can understand must be good so whether you are tops or like me I recommend downloading this, you've nothing to lose apart from a minute or two downloading but you gain a lot. Give it a try.

I was searching for a good and effective website design software from the last 3 years. I have experimented and used around 400-500 web design software. But alas! Serif made it for me. The starter edition is awesome! Frankly speaking no words for it. The way you design your designs is completely professional with so much easy to use tools completely parallel to the current web designing standards. I would have love to get the pro version asap and I don't know for what I am waiting for.
Now you dont want somebody to design your website and loose countless bucks because with WebPlus X5 you can do it on your own in a more professional and creative way one too..:)

Love you Serif Webplus for your simplicity in using and completely professional in outcome. If no body can guarantee at least I can proudly do that.

I have been through many web design software but this one is the best I have had. WebPlus is extremely easy to use. I have made a lot of websites with this software, sometimes I make it from scratch or choose one of the great templates on the program or on the serif website. Overall this software is the best free web page making software I know, and I have seen alot.

I have already sent in my comments to Service, but to me, the starter edition has way too many features, especially all the good ones, unavailable for testing.

I find it hard to justify purchasing it, when I can't see or test a big chunk of it.

To be fair, what you, and what I could test is quite good, and the unavilable features are very likley good as well, but without any way to see if they meet my needs then I'll continue to look elsewhere.

Been using this product for a while now, and it is brilliant! I am by no means a web expert but this program allows you to create websites so easily (which look amazing) in an extremely short amount of time, it even comes with 3 months of hosting! I love all of Serif's products and would recommend this to everyone who wants to try out web design, it's free and you don't need to know any coding or HTML to use it.

This has almost the same features as the full version and is a great way to try out an interesting, new approach to website building without having to spend £100+ on software. I feel that this is an excellent product, however, if you want to create more than 5 pages/use image editing/create a complex website, I would suggest you buy the full version (after trying this).
