Great piece of software, like any new programme a slight learning curve, (practice, before you have a piece of work with a deadline!) but having said that it's really easy to use and runs on XP without any trouble.
Give it a go, you've nothing to lose!

I love the easy interface of Serif MoviePlus, The drag and drop makes everything easy. However in the Starter Edition I just can't seem to get the "Created with Serif MoviePlus " out of my video.

I found the program very easy to get started with, I was able to import and edit my movies without too much use of the help files. I was able to rotate and make adjustments to the film in the same way you would edit a photograph. The help files were easy to follow and were written at a level that was easy to follow. Because I have a variety of video equipment (cameras, mobile phones as well as movie camera) I downloaded the codec pack which now gives me the ability to save a file to suit each equipments codec.

I would recommend this application.
It is better than Windows Movie Maker by far. I have tried other video editing software, but for easy functionality, this may be the best.
It's fast and efficient. I like the many tracks, the ability to change the preview quality, and especially the text titles and overlays. They're fun to play around with.
Although I would like to see more effects available in the Starter Edition and possibly some motion effects (shake,etc.) added to the application.
The transitions are also good, with many to choose from.
I think the output options look great for the full edition, with what appears to be the ability to create DVDs with menus! The SE output selection is limited but usable.

This is an amazing product. Editing videos is really simple, and you can have at least three sound tracks, all playing at once! It's entirely free, and your videos can be in amazing quality, of both film and HD!

I´m gonna be completely honest here... I don´t have anything bad to say about MoviePlus SE. It´s great!
You know that brand that starts with an A and ends with a E with the word DOB in the middle? Doesn´t stand a chance.
And you can´t beat free, can you?

As a film student with some professional experience, I have to say, this is by far the best free video editing software out there, and I've tried a lot! If you're frustrated by the limitations of iMovie and Windows Movie Maker, and the bugginess of open source video editors, Serif's MoviePlus Starter Edition is definitely the way to go, and without a $300 price tag! It's not hyperbole to say this is the video editor I've been seeking for years. Thanks, Serif!

We use some other video editing software and find Serif an excellent solution. Unfortunately, the free version doesn't allow to work with the most current video format.

This software is good for movie editing beginners. To simply create a presentation etc. for school is great!
