Serif has a very active online community for information purposes, asking advice and discussing various topics with other Serif users. The forum is intended for the exchange of ideas and discussion of issues based around Serif products, and whilst employees within Serif may from time to time monitor the site and leave comments, this site isn’t intended for the provision of direct technical support. If you feel that your query would best be answered by a member of the Customer Service or Technical Support Teams, rather than other users, please contact the Support Teams directly.

Forum Rules

Whilst we encourage discussions and debate we do not wish to see the forum become a place where people come just for the sake of argument. We reserve the right to delete any messages that are not, in our opinion appropriate in the area in which they were posted or violate our forum rules. Advertising is strictly forbidden without prior approval of the staff.

Serif provides the forum for idea sharing, support and discussion; however, opinions expressed here are not necessarily those of Serif. Serif does not assume liability for statements or information posted by any individual and each should be assessed accordingly. Serif cannot assume liability for any harm or damage resulting from an act that was carried out based upon the contents of a forum post.

Registering for the forums

Feel free to browse all topics and posts on the Serif forums, but to post a message in most areas, or for full access the forum features you will need to register and create an account. Being registered gives you an identity on the board, a fixed username on all of your messages and an online public profile. Please note, this is different from your main Serif Account which is accessed from the homepage.

Registration is free and offers a wide range of features including:

  • Posting new threads
  • Replying to other peoples threads
  • Receiving email notifications on threads of interest
  • Sending private messages
  • Creating picture albums

To register by click on the Register link near the top of the page. You will be asked to choose a user name, password and enter a valid email address. In addition there will be some other fields to which you will be invited to respond. Some will be mandatory while others are optional. Once this is complete you will either be fully registered, or in some cases you may have to click on a link in an 'activation email' sent to your email address. Once you have done this you will be registered.

Entering your email address will not leave you open to ‘spam’, as you can choose to hide it from other board users. You will be able to allow other registered users to contact you via email, but the system won’t display your email address to them unless you give permission. If you are under the age of 13, the administrator may require that a parent or guardian provide consent before allowing you to complete the registration process. More information about this is available during the registration process.

Your public profile

Every member of the Serif Forums has a publicly viewable profile page. This page includes information provided by the member, either during registration, or via the User Control Panel. It also includes statistics such as the number of posts a member has left. The User Control Panel can also be used to control your personal settings, options and preferences such as your profile page customisation.

Your forum password

If you forget your password, you can click on the 'Forgotten Your Password' link. This will appear on any page that requires you to fill in your password. This link brings up a page where you should enter your registered email address. An email will be sent to that address shortly, with instructions for resetting your password. Since passwords are encrypted, there is no way to resend your original password. This option provides you with the ability to reset your password. You must be able to receive emails to your registered email address for this to work. You may need to check your spam filters and folder if you do not see this email in a few minutes.
