How can I produce a Logo in which the text color changes as it overlaps a background shape?

Answer:
Choose your Logo from LogoPlus, modify as required (I have changed the Star in this example, you will
no doubt want different wording!) and follow these easy steps.

1.
Original (Text Effect 11 in LogoPlus). Make two copies by selecting, holding Ctrl key down, and clicking with left
mouse button twice — slowly, not a double-click! |
2.
On first copy, double click to change to LogoPlus mode, and delete Star (select Star tab and click 'cut' button).
Then change colors (fill, line and shadow) of text to those wanted for text that will not cover the Star. In this
example I have simply reversed the text colors to blue fill and yellow line and shadow. The yellow has a 60%
tint. Note: If you double-click on a colour in the LP panel, tint and other options are available. |

3.
On the second copy, change into LP mode, and delete the text (select the Text tab, and click 'cut'). Re-color
the Star to white. |
4.
Select modified copies B and C, and click Arrange/Align Objects/vert centre/horiz centre. If necessary bring the Star to the top. Now Group
these two, and 'Export as Picture', choosing gif format (I suggest 8bits, 300dpi, Optimized, Transparent background.) |
5.
Import the newly created gif, adjust its size to the same as original LP item (A) by typing the appropriate figures
into the Change Bar), select the original and the gif, and align (as under D). Bring gif to front, if necessary, and
group. (Note: The gif should be embedded on import, so the exported version can be deleted.) |
