Education Sales & Marketing Manager

Quote After training as an Illustrator at Uni, I needed a temporary job while I looked for design work, so I joined Serif through an agency as an Outbound Sales Agent back in April 2001.

I then moved to the Educational Sales team as an Account Manager, then Sales Supervisor, until two years ago I became the Sales and Marketing Manager for the department, managing a team of five and overseeing licence sales to all UK schools. As part of my role I also work with the Creative Design team to produce our own marketing material.

I feel really privileged to work at Serif – it’s great to have been givenQuote End the opportunity to use my skills and previous training to contribute to an already thriving business.

Business Development

The expanding Business Development team have the exciting task of increasing Serif’s international presence through direct and non-direct sales in Europe , The Middle East, Africa , Australia and New Zealand . This can include anything from retail sales, resellers and channel distribution. The department regularly meets with existing and prospective partners, such as Dixons Store Group and Amazon, and are often required to take business trips all over the world.

Like all sales departments, business development has a quarterly night out. The latest one took the team for a meal at Le Bistrot Pierre in the City Centre for a three course meal with champagne.

Service & Support Manager

Quote I enjoy helping people and resolving issues, so the opportunity to work on technical support at Serif was quite appealing. That was nine years ago now, and it has flown by.

I work with some great people – my team are more like my friends than my colleagues. When I came to Serif I was lacking experience and Quote End knowledge, but the past nine years have taught me many valuable skills.

Outbound Sales Manager

Quote In 2001 I joined Serif as an Outbound Sales Agent and stayed in this role for about three and a half years. I really enjoyed working in such a vibrant, fun department, and the potential to earn a good living was a great motivator. After this role, I moved on to become Sales Trainer, which was a great opportunity to share my experience and knowledge with others.

I am now the Outbound Sales Manager, and it is a challenging role, but one that gives me the Quote Endchance to generate a lot of income for Serif and show what I am capable of.
