PRESS RELEASE
SERIF NETS PRESTIGIOUS AWARD FOR GROWTH
Serif recognized at Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 Awards Ceremony

Serif (Europe) Ltd - the leading independent desktop publishing, design and graphics software developer - is today celebrating a major achievement after receiving an award for growth in the Midlands region of the prestigious Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 awards.

Serif, which was launched in 1987 and underwent a management buyout in April 2001, employs over 230 people in the UK and US, and has over 1.5 million registered customers worldwide.

After receiving the award on behalf of the company at a ceremony held at the National Motorcycle Museum, David Southgate, Finance Director of Serif said: "We are proud of Serif's reputation as one of the UK's top software companies. Our recognition as one of the region's fastest growing technology companies is testimony to our commitment to developing the business and providing first-class products and service to our customers."

Chris Robertson, partner in charge of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications sector at Deloitte & Touche in Birmingham, commented: "Our Fast 50 programme has been a huge success since its inception and has quickly become a recognized benchmark for performance in the technology sector. The midlands is, without doubt, becoming an increasingly significant region for technology and growth, aided by the quality of our universities and science parks and the ambition of local development agencies. The strength of this year's entries is proof that companies which focus on the quality of their business models, management teams and processes can not only withstand the industry's recent turmoil, but also prosper."

The Fast 50 programme, now in its fourth year, tracks the growth rates of technology companies operating in the telecommunications, hardware, software and biotechnology markets across seven regions in the UK and Ireland. It is co-sponsored by UK law firm and technology specialist, Pinsent Curtis Biddle, and techMARK, the London Stock Exchange market for technology companies.
