PagePlus 11 (List Price £99.99; upgrade prices available*) is the new version of Serif’s highly acclaimed desktop publisher, offering unparalleled page layout and design tools for the price, as well as retaining its trademark ease of use and accessibility for all abilities of user. Now with the capability to import and fully edit PDFs, PagePlus 11 is in a league of its own, even offering features not found in rival packages costing many times more. PagePlus 11 automatically interprets PDFs when they are imported so that all of the component parts of a page can be edited, moved, adjusted or deleted with complete flexibility. Paragraphs of text are intelligently re-flowed for easy text editing – even the industry leading packages don’t offer this level of PDF editing functionality. As well as being able to create new PagePlus documents from PDF content, PDFs can be inserted into existing PagePlus documents with the option of opening them before, after or even on the current page. PDF forms created in PagePlus 11 allow recipients to type their responses into the appropriate fields and save, print or submit their form electronically – Serif will email completed forms direct to the sender’s inbox using their free ‘Form Redirect’ service, or companies can set up their own Web submission service if they wish to. Serif has introduced much requested graphics enhancements to PagePlus 11. Users can now make a vast array of essential image adjustments, such as Levels, Curves, Colour Balance, Brightness/Contrast, Hue/Saturation/Lightness and much more. They can also apply a wide range of stunning creative effects to their images, including Motion Blur, Diffuse Glow, Noise, Shadows & Highlights among many others, without having to load a separate image-editing program. Themed Colour Swatches have been introduced to assist users in selecting complementary colours for a more professional look. Plus, a user’s own selection of colours is automatically added to the document’s palette so they can be easily re-used elsewhere in the document. Adobe Photoshop® files can now be imported directly into PagePlus 11, which can retain an image’s clipping path, and Serif’s popular one-click Red Eye Removal tool has also been incorporated into PagePlus 11’s exceptional new graphics capabilities. The PagePlus interface now has a fresh new look with dockable Workspace tabs providing single-click access to commonly used settings and a brand new Context Sensitive toolbar ensures that it’s easier than ever to make tool property adjustments. Plus, a host of updated Tutorials and new Projects will guide both new and existing users seamlessly through the program and new features, ensuring that everyone finds PagePlus 11 accessible and easy to use.
