New filter and special effects offer realistic glass-like transparency and reflective metal. Any object can have a professional blur, and another new filter effect applies an outline to objects (including a gradient-colored outline using a contour fill). 3D effects are further enhanced with multiple separately-colored lights for dramatic lighting effects!
Cutout Stamps NEW
Speedily crop any artwork with this set of special QuickShapes for a cutout stamp effect. Spray brushes, vector shapes, imported pictures, or grouped objects – anything can be cropped to an editable QuickShape and adjusted using new zoom, pan and rotate controls.

DrawPlus X3 has had a real overhaul with a totally fresh look, a more creative feel, and more productive layout to enhance your artwork. Not only does the new interface look attractive with new colors and new, larger buttons on the Standard toolbar, there are new controls and tabs to help make designing easy and fun.
Solo Mode NEW
When you need focus, there’s nothing like an uncluttered space with no distractions – just like Solo Mode in DrawPlus X3! Solo Mode displays your selected objects in isolation, allowing you to continue working on them without the distraction of the rest of your design – and still with all the power of DrawPlus X3 at your fingertips.
Crop Tool NEW
A popular request to make it easier to crop objects is answered with the introduction of – the Crop tool! It’s now intuitive and easy to carry out simple crops on individual elements or groups, plus there’s a built-in rule-of-thirds grid, and pan, zoom, and rotate controls as crop adjustments. The previous crop-to-shape feature is still very useful and is still there in DrawPlus X3!
Arrange Tab NEW
A new Arrange tab makes it easy to find the controls you need to organise your design, sending objects backwards and forwards, flipping and rotating them. Buttons for working with shapes are also consolidated in this tab, so combining, adding, intersecting, subtracting, grouping, and cropping are still easy to achieve while the main toolbar is less cluttered.
Lasso Selection IMPROVED
Creative artwork isn’t an exact science and doesn’t usually deal in regular shapes – now with DrawPlus X3 you can drag an irregular area (rather than rectangular) to select your design elements and curve nodes. Simply hold Alt while using the Pointer tool and draw freehand around the shapes or curve nodes you’d like to select. Easy!
Other Productivity Improvements Include… IMPROVED
For simplicity, flat transparency is now part of the Color tab, with fancy transparencies still available on the Transparency tab and with the Transparency tool. You can now also create and scale objects about their centre.
