Holiday Snaps in PhotoPlus X5
You've returned from your holiday with a memory card full of photos, but you're not sure what to do with them... You could dump them in a folder on your PC, but wouldn't it be more interesting to tag them on a Google Map™ of the world, so you could show friends and family exactly where you've been? The first step is to open the PhotoPlus Organizer and click Import on the toolbar at the top of the screen. Under Device, select Browse from the drop-down menu, then search for the relevant folder and click OK. You can now select the photos to import and click OK.  If your camera supports geo-tagging, your photos will automatically be tagged on a Google Map of the world, but if not, simply click on the MapMode icon at the top of the screen. All of your snaps are displayed underneath the Google Map.  In the search bar, type in the location of your holiday and then drag photos onto the map – this creates a red pin. You can drag multiple images in one go by highlighting them and you can move pins after you've drag-and-dropped photos.  Finally, click on the red pins to view your geo-tagged photos. This is a great way to show off holiday snaps to friends and family, and it couldn't be easier to do!  You can access more support, resources and Serif forums through the Serif website. |

Instead of printing birthday cards, why not send yours via email and do your bit for the environment? When you've perfected your card, simply go to File>Send and choose to send as a CraftArtist file, JPEG or PDF. Then choose the dimensions for your card and click OK. CraftArtist exports your card straight into an email, which you can then send on to the lucky birthday boy or girl. DrawPlus X5 Drawing inside existing shapes is easy with the Draw Inside tool in DrawPlus X5. Just select the shape that you want to draw within and click the Draw Inside icon on the Standard toolbar. You'll see an orange outline appear on the shape. Now anything you create will only be visible within the confines of that shape. |
