Serif is 25!     Thanks for the last 25 years! This month marks Serif’s 25th anniversary and, as Serif’s MD, I want to let you know that we’re still as committed to value and creativity as we were when we launched in 1987. This quarter-of-a-century milestone would not have been reached without the incredible support of loyal customers like you. It really has meant a lot to us, so I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you! I’d also like to publicly thank all the staff involved in developing, selling, and supporting our products over the past 25 years. They do a fantastic job and we’re all very grateful for the continued feedback from customers like you, which has helped us to produce the products you want to use. As part of our celebrations, I’ve pledged that Serif will donate $40,000 to charities this year and we’ll let you know how we get on as our staff take up various challenges. During February, Serif took part in the Right First Time Program – an award for companies who reach a certain standard as voted by their customers. Results showed that 96.97% of customers said the person they spoke to did all they could to satisfy their enquiry and 97.51% said they had a satisfactory response. In addition, 87.43% said they only had to call once to receive a satisfactory response to their enquiry.     How To...     ...Create a QuickMovie in MoviePlus X6 It's now easier than ever to create amazing movies in MoviePlus and this tutorial will show you exactly how to do it using the QuickMovie feature... From the Startup Wizard, select Create a QuickMovie. You can then choose from a range of themes in the Choose a Theme dialog that appears (left). Here you can also decide on aspect ratio (the dimensions of your movie) and preview the theme in action. Once you've chosen, click Next.     Now import your movie clips in the Import Media dialog (left). Once you've imported, you can also rotate your clips (if you recorded them portrait, for example) and trim them with the tools at the top of the window. Again, when you're finished, click Next.     In the Edit Details dialog that appears, you have the chance to fully customize your movie's opening and closing sequences. Make adjustments to text, fonts, colors, music and much more. In the top-right corner of the Titles tab (left), or on the Movie and Credits tabs, click More to change settings like thumbnail and text animation. Click Less (in the top-right corner) and press play in the preview window to watch your movie at any point. When you're happy, click Finish.     Now you can preview your movie and export for different platforms by going to File>Export Movie. Now users can search for specific terms on your website with ease. DrawPlus X5 Use the Freehand Knife Tool to cut objects in DrawPlus – great for creating weird and wonderful shapes. Simply select the tool from the Drawing toolbar, then click and drag on the areas you want to cut.
