David Hayfield wins 2012's WebPlus Competition!

We are delighted to announce that David Hayfield of Grampian Website Design is our WebPlus Competition winner for 2012.

Based in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, David used WebPlus X4 to design the Downie Fish website – a stylish e-commerce site that's been getting around 5,000 hits per month since it went live (imagine what he could have done with WebPlus X6!).

David has used WebPlus since 2005 because of its ease-of-use. And having clearly put it to expert use, he wins, among other things, the full suite of Serif software and twelve months' premium hosting.

Tips and tricksPagePlus X6

There's more to separating paragraphs than just hitting enter twice.

You can be much more precise with the gaps between your paragraphs by setting the spacing before you type.

Simply hit Ctrl+M and, under Paragraph>Alignment and Spacing, adjust the Space After value.

Click OK, then whenever you reach the end of a paragraph, hit enter once to create a true paragraph break.

Instead of trying your hardest to line several objects up and make sure they're all spaced equally by staring an inch away from your screen, use WebPlus' alignment tools.

Shift-click to highlight the relevant items, then choose from the options in the Align tab (bottom right of your window), including left, right, top, and bottom aligning, and vertical and horizontal spacing.
