...Create
a Stylish, Gold Text Effect in DrawPlus X5
This tutorial shows you how easy it can be to create attractive text
using gradients and shadows in DrawPlus X5.
 The
first step is to create a background with a radial gradient.
Create a rectangle and click the Fill icon on the Drawing toolbar.
Select the
drop-down from the menu that appears at the top of the screen
and choose Radial. Apply a dark brown color (R=58,
G=50, B=33) and a gold color (R=255, G=188, B=37) to your gradient by clicking
the nodes that appear on your shape, selecting RGB
Sliders in the Color tab and entering the values. |
 Next,
create
a texture underneath your background. To do this, copy the shape
from the previous step onto a new layer (below the current layer).
Double click
on the layer itself in the Layers tab.
Under Attributes, check Visible, choose a Paper Texture and click OK.
Now select the rectangle on the layer
above. Reduce the opacity of the rectangle to 90% in the Color
tab, so the
texture starts to show slightly. |
 Create text (we've
used Times New Roman, 120pt) in a new layer. As with the
rectangle, fill the text with a gradient, but this time select Linear.
Click on the gradient line to add a further two nodes:
one close to the top and one roughly three-quarters of the way down (as left).
Use a cream color (R=219, G=204, B=188) and a dark brown color (R=86, G=51,
B=15). |
 Click
the Filter Effects tool in the Drawing toolbar and add
a Drop Shadow with Opacity 80%, Blur 12pt, Intensity 0, Distance 4pt and
Angle 90°.
Add an Outline (as left), and a Bevel and Emboss with Highlight set to
Screen, using the cream color above, and Shadow set to Normal and black
(both at 100%). Set Blur at 4pt and Depth at around 120.
You can play with settings and colors to see what works best for your
text.
The final result can be seen below.

Preparing your website for ecommerce in WebPlus X5 isn't as
difficult as it might sound. Here's how to do it:
On the Web Objects toolbar, click the E-commerce flyout drop-down and
select Insert an E-commerce object.
Simply follow the instructions in the dialog that appears and, before you
know it, you'll have a site that's ready for business.
MoviePlus X5
As well as editing movies, you can capture still images from your
footage at any time in MoviePlus X5.
Simply click the camera icon in the Video Preview pane. You can then
save the frame as a PNG, JPEG or BMP, or copy it for pasting into
another program.
