“PagePlus used to be intuitive, and I was turning out work with PagePlus 2 very quickly. It has recently become increasingly difficult; X6 was so bad that I frequently return to X4. I was assured by the Serif salesman that X7 would be easier. It isn't, and I wish I had sent it back in time.”

“Not to much difference from X6 to X7.
Right click on an object and FX filter is not accessible as in X6 version, dissapointing.
When a new version is available, should be able to try it before buying it.”

“A most5 difficuult product to understand. The reason to purchase this item was to assist in the writing of a biography in the belief that it would be easier than with Word. Have, so far, been unsuccessful in transferring what has already been written in Word to PagePlus. The User Guide does not appear to give guidance on this nor have I had any success using the Help. Both test and photographs appear to "blend" on transfer.
Very disappointed with the product”

“Good-looking product that seems to have many features, but also seems you have to purchase the PRO version to get them all. Main criticisms: a) When pasting an object from one page to another (such as a heading text box), it does not stay in the same position - very annoying and restricts formatting consistency (MS products do this.) I have to construct my own guide line marks to keep alignment correct. b) no template for multi-page booklets (say, 12 page A5 booklet such as a concert programme). Seems far more difficult to use than other products. - And is very slow. I have 64 bit Win 7, Intel Dou core, 4 MB and it is much slower in doing anything than other programs.”

Your comments on the speed of PagePlus are surprising, as it is not usually known to run slowly. With the last release (X7) PagePlus has had significant speed improvements and should run well on systems that meet the specified requirements.

“documents produced in pageplus 6 when printed in 7 produce random lines around objects and text which are not there - gone back to 6 for some consistancy”

“I have been using Pageplus since version 10 and have always updated when a new version arrives. However this is the first version where I have had to correct errors in presentation and printing. Far too many for me to be happy. Although the Technical Department gave me a work around, I am still not satisfied that the problems have been solved. I reiterate, these problems were not present in previous versions, only after upgrade. I don't think that I will be upgrading to version X8 in the future.”

“Not happy with PagePlus X7. I will use PagePlus X5. I do not want to use the web every time I create something. I only bought the X7 because of the PDF book feature. I went from X5 to X7 and I like X5 better. I am not sure I like the direction Serf is going with their programs. I buy stand alone programs. If I have to switch to another one I will.”

“Extremely dissatisfied. Migrated from PagePlus X5, which was great. PPX7 does not work with Mail Merge. Manual states that Merge List data "will be presented in row/column format allowing you to edit, select, filter, and/or sort the actual data to be merged." That is not true! I tried to contact Serif Support Portal (Ticket 31C-1A17AF09-0106) BUT HAVE HAD NO RESPONSE!”

“Loaded the 64 bit version and it is very slow to open documents. Even when saved under the new format. Tried the 32 bit version and it is a bit fasted to open documents but still very much slower than version X5. Removed it from my computer. To aggravating! X5 is way better!”

This isn't the normal behaviour; there should be no problem opening files with 64-bit versions.

“Not happy with this program. I have only upgraded from PPX6 for two weeks and I have had more ""has stopped responding" messages and shut-downs than I have had with any other Serif products I am thinking of taking this off my computer, if there has been no updates to sort this out I will do so.”

“Not too impressed. It does seem to be very limited in its abilities, and not an intuitive interface. The email Help facility does respond, but seems to result in a stream of emailed questions, rather than answers.
Overall, I would think there are more functional, better priced products available”

“Only had one session with this to date and not very successful. Created birthday card with picture (photoplus) and text but when printing only text not had time to follow up and contact Serif yet. Succeeded printing card with Drawplusx6 unable to accurately rate yet”
