Layer Management

Managing complex composite images has never been easier! Group related layers together and apply adjustments across groups. In addition you can collapse and expand groups for more efficient working. You can also select and align multiple layers, drag ‘n’ drop layers between documents and use ‘Alt’ drag to duplicate layers for even more flexibility.

Raw Capture

For more experienced digital photographers, PhotoPlus will directly open the increasingly popular unprocessed RAW file formats from manufacturers such as Canon, Olympus and Nikon – over 150 digital camera models are supported!

EXIF Data

PhotoPlus will display any EXIF information, such as aperture priority, white balance, shutter speed, camera model and make, recorded when photos are taken with a digital camera. Gain a greater understanding of your photographic results by comparing the EXIF data on various images.

Professional Colour

PhotoPlus’ ICC Colour support ensures that the colours you see on screen will print exactly how you want them to on your printer. You can output images using CMYK separations and include registration marks, crop marks, file information, greyscale and colour bars, for professional results time after time.

Masking

Add layer masks and use adjustment layers to apply effects to selected areas of your image without directly altering the underlying layer image, so if you need to start again simply delete the mask to return your image to its original state. Masks move independently of their layers and work on shape and text layers too.

Paths

Use the full range of line and shape drawing tools to create editable outlines via the Paths tab or ‘stroke’ paths using any brush to create bordered shapes. Convert paths to or from selections on any layer and save them with your document for later editing.

Blend Ranges

Masking effects can be achieved by selectively including or excluding the ranges of luminance (grey), red, green or blue present in upper and underlying layers.

Histogram

The ‘live’ Histogram dynamically responds to show the values for the currently active selection within your document. See how curves and level adjustments affect your image as they happen! Conveniently located in its own docked Tab, it offers a quick reference point for ensuring that all your images are correctly colour balanced.

Image Web Hotspots

Use image mapping techniques to add hyperlinks to specific areas of a larger Web graphic. Simply click to divide images into segments – each with its own hyperlink and popup text – and add hotspots to specific regions. PhotoPlus outputs the HTML code and lets you preview the results directly in your Web browser so it couldn’t be easier!
