WordRead 2 Serif Edition is an elegant piece of software designed to allow text on your PC screen to be spoken back in a natural human quality voice. It’s simple to use, and there is no need to copy and paste text into a separate window. Proof read and ‘listen to’ Word documents, e-mails, web pages, spreadsheets, presentations and accessible PDF files.

WordRead 2 SE includes English RealSpeak™ Voice, Daniel, plus over 15 character voices.

Features

  • At the click of a mouse, have text read back from a variety of sources including Microsoft® Word and Serif PagePlus documents

  • For web pages viewed with Internet Explorer, simply hover your mouse over the text you want to hear, and it will instantly speak back that text. Alternatively, click the mouse anywhere on the web page, press WordRead’s Play button, and it will speak from that point until you press Stop or until the end of the web page is reached.

  • Convert any Microsoft Word document, Internet Explorer web page (or any text copied to the clipboard) into an audio file (WMA, WAV,OGG), for replay later – or transfer to a portable audio player, such as an iPod™.

  • A customised Serif Edition interface that makes it even easier to have your text read back

  • For scripts and voiceovers, alternate reading voices by using Microsoft® XML tags.

  • The ability to purchase and easily import additional RealSpeak™ Voices which are available in over 15 languages. Additional Voices can be purchased for £20 inc VAT from www.clarosoftware.com/serif
